Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This policy covers the Kleepter browser extension and the website you are on, kleepter.app. It is written to be read, so it is short and plain.
The short version
- The extension keeps your list on your device. What you Kleep is saved in your browser and is never sent to us or anyone else.
- We do not collect your browsing. The extension reads a page only to find the products on it, on your device, and keeps nothing from pages you don't Kleep from.
- No accounts, no tracking, no ads, no selling data.
- The website only receives your email address if you join the waitlist, and uses it only to tell you when Kleepter launches.
The Kleepter extension
What it looks at
To work, the extension runs on the web pages you visit and looks for product details: names, prices, pictures, links and the option you picked (such as a colour or size). This happens on your device. The extension does not send what it finds anywhere, does not keep a history of the pages you visit, and keeps nothing about a page unless you choose to Kleep a product from it. It does not record what you type.
What it saves when you Kleep something
When you press Kleep it or Kleep All, the extension saves these details about each product:
| Saved | Why |
|---|---|
| Product name | To show it in your list |
| Address of the product picture | To show its picture |
| Price and currency | To show what it cost when you saved it |
| Link to the product page | So you can go back to the shop |
| Shop name and website | To show where it is from |
| The option you picked (e.g. "Blue, 256GB") | So you know which version you meant |
| The date and time you saved it, and a random ID | To keep your list in order |
The extension also remembers one setting: whether you chose to hide the floating button.
All of this is stored in your browser, in Chrome's local storage for extensions, on your device. It is not synced to your Google account, and it is not sent to us or to any server.
What it does not do
- It has no accounts or sign-in.
- It contains no analytics, telemetry or advertising, and sets no cookies.
- It does not buy anything, fill in forms, or touch your payment details.
- It makes no network requests of its own.
Product pictures
Your list shows each product's picture by loading it from the shop that publishes it, the same way a web page would. The shop therefore sees an ordinary image request from your browser, which includes your IP address. Kleepter asks the browser not to tell the shop which page the request came from. We receive nothing from this.
Permissions, and why
- Storage: to save your list and your setting on your device.
- Access to web pages (all http and https sites): the extension cannot know in advance which shop you will visit, so it needs to run on any page to find products and show its small button. It is used only for what is described above.
Limited use
The information the extension handles is used only to provide Kleepter's single purpose: letting you save products from online shops into one list. It is not sold, not transferred to anyone, not used to show you ads, and not read by people.
This website (kleepter.app)
- The website has no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party fonts or scripts.
- The waitlist. If you join, we collect the email address you type and which form on the page you used. We use it only to email you about Kleepter's launch, and we keep it only until that email has been sent, unless you ask us to remove it sooner. If we use a different email service to send that message, we will name it here.
- Who receives it. Sign-ups are received by Web3Forms, a form service that passes each one on to us by email and may keep a copy for a limited time and process technical details such as your IP address to deliver it (see their privacy policy).
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Railway. Like any web host, it handles technical details of each request, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages and keep the service secure.
Sharing
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. The only companies that touch information from this website are the two service providers named above, and only to do the job described. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices
- Remove a product from My Kleeps at any time with the Unkleep button.
- Hide the floating button in the popup's Settings tab.
- Delete everything the extension has saved by removing the extension from your browser; Chrome then deletes its stored data.
- Waitlist: ask us to remove your email address at any time (see Contact below) and we will delete it and confirm.
- Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over information about you, such as to see it, correct it or have it erased. Write to us and we will help.
Security, children and changes
- Security. This website uses HTTPS. Your Kleeps are only as private as your computer and browser profile, so anyone who can use your browser can see them.
- Children. Kleepter is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
- Changes. If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects what the extension collects, we will say so clearly before it takes effect.
